Integrated Management & Legal Compliance Technician

The impact of your role

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the company’s sustainability, compliance, and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for aligning management systems with international best practices and all applicable legal requirements, directly contributing to operational excellence, risk mitigation, and strengthening the company’s reputation in the market.

 

Main responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and control activities related to the Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring its effectiveness and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards and reference frameworks, including: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 56001, PEFC, FSC
  • Ensure the timely identification and update of all legal requirements applicable to the company’s activities.
  • Ensure compliance with the Major Accident Prevention Regime (SEVESO), in accordance with Decree-Law No. 150/2015.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Promote a culture of responsibility, quality, safety, and innovation.
  • Collaborate with different departments to ensure alignment and effective teamwork.

 

Desired profile 

We are looking for a rigorous, well-organized professional with a strong focus on continuous improvement, analytical thinking, and critical judgment. The ideal candidate should be able to work autonomously while maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

 

What you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Previous professional experience in an industrial environment.
  • Solid knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
  • Knowledge of the SEVESO Regime, in accordance with Decree-Law No. 150/2015.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High sense of responsibility, accuracy, and quality orientation.
  • Teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in Portuguese and English.

 

What we consider a nice to have:

  • Knowledge of ISO 56001, PEFC, and FSC.
  • Experience in implementing or maintaining Integrated Management Systems.
  • Experience in preparing and supporting certification audits.
  • Additional training in quality, environment, health & safety, or innovation management.
