The impact of your role

 

As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and safety of the plant’s mechanical equipment and installations through the effective execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks, ensuring operational continuity and contributing to the optimization of production performance. Your work will have a direct, critical, and cross-functional impact on the overall performance of the plant, influencing production, safety, costs, and the quality of the final product.

 

Main responsibilities

 

  • Carry out mechanical tasks ensuring the rational use of planned resources, meeting targets for MTBF, quality, and productivity.
  • Perform planned and unplanned mechanical maintenance work in compliance with established safety, quality, and productivity standards.
  • Work in close coordination with Operations, ensuring full understanding of their needs and guaranteeing the technical acceptance of interventions together with operators.
  • Properly complete mechanical maintenance work orders, recording relevant information for planners.
  • Evaluate Mechanical Maintenance Work Orders prior to execution, ensuring all required materials, tools, safety equipment, and resources are available.
  • Respect, follow, and ensure the application of asset management standards, performing work with a strong sense of ownership, quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Execute planned mechanical inspections and lubrication tasks according to established routes.
  • Support the analysis of results and ensure the implementation of action plans in case of anomalies.
  • Contribute to the proper analysis of technical solutions and the correct allocation of required resources.
  • Maintain the workplace and all intervention areas clean and organized by applying 5S standards.
  • Complete all required safe‑work documentation (Work Permits, authorizations, and other safety procedures).
  • Comply with and act as a multiplier of all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) rules, policies, and procedures.

 

Desired profile 

 

What you must have:

 

  • Intermediate or advanced vocational training in Mechanical Maintenance, Industrial Mechatronics, or a similar field.
  • Experience of minimum 3 – 5 years in Maintenance area.
  • Fluency in Spanish.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical failures.
  • Strong focus on safety and quality, with the operational discipline required to comply with internal standards.
  • Ability to work in a team.

 

What we consider a nice to have:

 

  • Training in vibration analysis, thermography, or predictive maintenance.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to train operators in proper equipment handling.
