Infrastructure / Systems Administrator 1
Key Responsibilities:
- System Administration: Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems and software applications. This includes monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring availability.
- Server and Storage Management: Administer virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure the organization's IT infrastructure meets security best-practices. Implement and maintain security measures, such as OS firewalls, hardening, etc.
- Operations: Provide technical support to systems, addressing operating systems issues. Collaborate with helpdesk or support teams to resolve escalated tickets.
- System Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability using appropriate tools. Identify bottlenecks, optimize resource utilization, and implement proactive measures to improve system efficiency.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Program regular reports on system performance, security incidents, and compliance status. Provide recommendations for system improvements and upgrades.
Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Extensive experience in system administration, including managing complex server environments.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows and Linux) and server virtualization technologies (VMWare, Hyper-V).
- Strong knowledge of Windows Active Directory.
- Experience with monitoring tools (namely PRTG) and backup/replications software (Veeam, Arcserve).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) and automation/management tools (System Center, Ansible, ...) is desirable.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, ...) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Solid understanding of IT security principles, risk management, and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Availability to travel according to project and operational needs
- Fluent and proficient in English, proficiency in German is a plus
