Purchasing Specialist

We are looking for a Purchasing Specialist to manage the sourcing process for chemical raw materials, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with operational and sustainability goals. You will support category management, coordinate import processes, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of supplier documentation and data.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage procurement of chemical raw materials: sourcing, supplier evaluation, SAP contract updates, performance reviews, and incident resolution.
  • Support maritime import processes, ensuring compliant documentation and coordination with logistics teams, suppliers, ports, and authorities.
  • Maintain supplier and material master data and support qualification and audit processes.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance (including REACH), collect certificates, and support sustainability initiatives.
  • Guarantee structured, accurate, and accessible data for audits and continuous improvement.

 

Profile:

 

  • Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Management, Supply Chain or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in procurement, supply chain or related areas, preferably within the chemical or industrial sector.
  • Knowledge of SAP MM (ideally S/4HANA); SAP Ariba is a plus.
  • Fluency in Portuguese German and English.
  • Strong negotiation, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and process‑focused approach.
  • Availability to travel 1–2 times per month.
