Automation Engineer
Working on and supporting industrial automation projects, contributing to the installation, maintenance, programming and optimisation of automated systems, under the guidance of more experienced professionals.
Main Responsibilities:
- Installation and configuration of automation equipment:
Assisting in the installation of sensors, programmable logic controllers (PLC), control panels and other automation-related equipment;
Carrying out initial adjustments to components and systems under supervision to ensure that the equipment works properly;
Assisting in the definition of components for new systems, structuring the entire automation architecture (PLCs, HMIs and communication networks) in the development/project phase and supervising/executing commissioning.
- Programming and testing PLCs and HMIs (human-machine interface):
Carry out PLC programming, modifications and parameter adjustments for automatic systems;
Carrying out validation tests on programming and adjustments to automation systems, ensuring their compliance with the defined requirements;
- Corrective and preventive maintenance:
Assisting in carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on automation systems, identifying basic problems and reporting needs for more complex adjustments to more specialised technicians and engineers;
Diagnosis and resolution of equipment malfunctions using automation tools, identifying the source of the problem.
- Technical and operational support:
Providing technical support to the production teams, helping to resolve problems with the automated equipment and ensure that the systems function correctly;
Collaborating with the production team to implement process improvements by modifying or increasing automation systems.
- Documentation and reports:
Recording the interventions carried out on the systems, documenting parameter changes, part replacements and test results.
Contributing to the preparation of technical reports and organising the documentation of equipment and automation systems;
Job requirements:
- Degree or Master's in Electrical, Electromechanical or Mechanical Engineering;
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role in industry;
- Knowledge of Mechanics and Electrotechnics
- Ability to integrate into a mature, multi-functional team;
- Computer skills;
- Autonomous and dynamic
- CAD/CAM solutions;
- Programming PLC's - Siemens (Preferred), among others
- Programming HMI's - Siemens
- Programming SCADA - Siemens
- Fluent in Portuguese (required)
